The Speck-O-Meter is your visual map for sunscreen textures. Because not all sunscreens are created equal—especially when it comes to the finish. From dull to natural to glowy, the texture can significantly impact your comfort. The best sunscreen is still the one you enjoy wearing!

🧴 Category 1: The Rich

Matte finish – noticeable texture – often mineral or hybrid

The sunscreens in this quadrant are quite often mineral or hybrid products. Mineral filters tend to have a matte finish, but they require a fairly high concentration, which can sometimes result in a somewhat pasty texture.
